To the Editor Despite the importance of the topic of handovers in anesthesia care, we are concerned about exposure ascertainment in the study by Dr Jones and colleagues1 because cases in which complete anesthesia handovers occurred may not have had a billing code and have been counted as unexposed. Misclassification of exposed patients as unexposed would be a major threat to validity.
