Leaders from around the world have endorsed the Declaration of Astana, a resolution that vows to strengthen primary health care as a cornerstone to achieving worldwide universal health care. The declaration, signed in Astana, the current capital of Kazakhstan, will also bolster efforts toward attaining a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal to “ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages.”
