Educational posters detailing the basics about contraceptives were effective in convincing women to choose a more reliable birth-control method, according to a study in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
The 990 women in the online study were randomly assigned to view either a CDC poster or a patient-centered poster, which was created for people with low health literacy and math skills. Participants completed an online survey before and after viewing the poster to measure the change in their knowledge about contraceptives.
