As lab-to-table beef and poultry products inch closer to reality, the FDA announced a formal agreement to jointly regulate them.
According to the agreement, the FDA and the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS) will share responsibilities in overseeing the production of human food products derived from the cells of livestock and poultry.
