To the Editor The Electroencephalography Guidance of Anesthesia to Alleviate Geriatric Syndromes (ENGAGES) trial found no effect on postoperative delirium when intraoperative anesthesia depth was guided by EEG waveforms and derived parameters.1 However, there are various confounders and methodological issues that may have affected the authors’ conclusions and study generalizability.
