To the Editor A retrospective analysis of data sets from 3 cohorts by Dr Seymour and colleagues1 reported the identification of 4 novel sepsis patient subtypes and was performed to address the problem of sepsis heterogeneity.2 However, we believe that the study was limited with regard to advancing individualized or subtype-directed therapy.
