To the Editor The ICU Visits Study compared a flexible family visitation policy (for up to 12 hours per day) with usual restricted visitation in adult ICUs.1 Compared with visitation policies in pediatric ICUs, the flexible visitation policy is still rather restrictive. Modern pediatric ICUs have no visitation limits, and families often enjoy an individual patient room with a bed for a parent to stay overnight.2
