Abstract

The Wellcome Prize  The Sir Henry S. Wellcome Medal and Prize of $500 will be awarded this year for the best paper on "The Contributions of the World War to the Advancement of Medicine." Competition is open to medical department officers and former officers, acting assistant and contract surgeons of the army, navy, public health service, organized militia, U. S. Veterans' Administration, U. S. Volunteers and the reserves of the United States, commissioned medical officers of foreign military services, and all members of the association. Further information on the competition, which closes August 15, may be obtained from the secretary of the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States, Army Medical Museum, Washington, D. C.

Scientific Research Division Reorganized  Under the recent reorganization of the Scientific Research Division of the U. S. Public Health Service, effective February 1, three new divisions were established at the National Institute of Health:
