To the Editor:
—I am writing you on account of my astonishment in reading the editorial concerning the "injection" intravenously of dextrose solution (The Journal, Dec. 12, 1931). I had thought that that method had long since given place to the continuous infusion at the physiologic rate of delivery.A rich experience has taught me that the objections which you mentioned in your editorial are entirely obviated by the adoption of this more rational procedure, mention of which was entirely omitted in your editorial.
