This booklet constitutes a comprehensive statement and critical discussion of the technic, therapeutic indications and contraindications in the employment of the insulin shock therapy of schizophrenia. The author takes into consideration also the question of metrazol in the therapy of schizophrenia and recommends its employment in combination with insulin, either during the rest day in the course of insulin therapy or after a brief period (two hours) of insulinization when an epileptic seizure is desirable. The booklet is an excellent guide to the employment of these therapies in schizophrenia and contains a rather complete bibliography on the subject.
