Examination for Position of Toxicologist
The U. S. Civil Service Commission announces that an open competitive examination will be held for the position of principal industrial toxicologist (organic compounds) in the U. S. Public Health Service at a salary of $5,600 a year. The duties will be to serve as scientific head of a section of industrial toxicology, studying the relation between chemical composition and pharmacologic action of organic compounds, and to be responsible for the planning and direction of scientific research and routine work in the industrial toxicology of organic compounds. Candidates must have graduated with an M.D. degree from a medical school of recognized standing and must not have passed their fifty-third birthday on the date of the close of applications.
