Training in Pathology and Diagnosis of Tumors  The surgeon general of the U. S. Public Health Service announces that, in order to meet the need for pathologists skilled in the diagnosis of tumors, special consideration will be given in making appointments for training under the provisions of the National Cancer Institute Act to qualified pathologists who wish to obtain additional training in diagnosis and pathology of tumors.

Monthly Meeting of Navy Officers  Dr. Esmond R. Long, director of the Henry Phipps Institute of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, addressed the first monthly meeting of this season of the medical and dental officers of the navy at the Naval Medical School, Washington, D. C., October 10, on "The Use of Tuberculin in the Diagnosis of Tuberculosis."
