An outline of laboratory methods primarily prepared for use in the teaching of medical students and laboratory technicians, it is not a textbook of clinical pathology. Clinical significance of tests given are not discussed in any detail. The present edition is larger and more extensively illustrated than previous editions, which should enhance its usefulness proportionately. Urinalysis, bacteriology, special gastric and duodenal contents testing, tests of hepatic function, serologic tests and clinical chemical determinations are well covered. As a guide for the instruction and use of medical students and laboratory technicians, this manual can be definitely recommended.
