This is a first-class presentation of the facts concerning circulation in health and disease. The six chapters (on general anatomy, dynamics of the heart, electrocardiography, blood flow, arterial blood pressure and physiology of the capillaries) are contributed by six different authors. Of particular merit are the chapters on electrocardiography and on the physiology of the capillaries, being written by physiologists (Fredericq, Demoor) who themselves have made noteworthy contributions in these respective fields.
