Abstract

As the author states in the preface, the purpose of this book is to provide a practical text in kinesiology for the use of students, teachers and physical therapists specializing in the field of corrective exercise. She gives an analysis of movements of the various regions of the body with special reference to the more frequently used therapeutic exercises. This reviewer was especially gratified by the stress on unilateral exercises in the treatment of functional scoliosis. While still controversial, this approach seems to be gaining more and more ground.
