Written primarily for students of pharmacy, this book is well suited to any one desiring a succinct account of the basic structural features and functions of plants and animals. It deals also with development, endocrine organs, vitamins, mendelism, heredity and evolution. The structure of flowering plants is fully presented. The book is amply illustrated with adequately labeled diagrammatic figures, largely original and very well done. In its completeness, wide scope and abundance of illustrations this textbook of biology (in the sense of a combination of botany and zoology) is of unusual excellence.
