This volume is a compilation of interesting factual accounts about the loss of therapeutic radium and the search for it. Many authenticated stories are recorded relating to the ingenuity of individuals who have devised ways and means for recovering lost radium. The book was originally written by the author for private distribution among his colleagues and friends. It was so well received that the second edition was published. The book is of value to physicians, nurses and technicians who handle radium because it provides a voluminous source of ideas for any one who may be called suddenly to search for radium which has been carelessly misplaced, lost or stolen.
