The contents of this book include a general discussion of drugs and other pertinent material in the introduction; tables of weights and measures; conversion tables and thermometry; a discussion of the prescription; a statement on posology; a discussion of sources of drugs and medicinal substances and of medicinal and pharmacopeial preparations; a classification of common drugs according to their therapeutic action, and special discussions on the sulfonamide compounds, serologic products and poisons and antidotes. This book may have limited use in the United States: Latin terminology is given preference; proprietary names and synonyms are those found in the United Kingdom, and the discussion of poison regulations is concerned with those in Great Britain.
