This monograph is confined to a rather limited but important field of infection. The description of the various forms of nongonococcal urethritis, together with specific therapy indicated, is most thorough. The illustrations and plates are exceptionally well done and are instructive. It is evident that the author was well qualified to write on this subject and that he had unlimited material to draw from. However, one cannot help wondering whether the differentiation that is made among the various forms of urethritis may be of more academic interest than practical. The monograph should be of value as a reference book to those interested in urethritis. It is much too detailed to serve as a textbook for undergraduates.
