Dr. Wilson had hoped to collect the most important of his papers on cardiology in a single volume, but his death in 1952 prevented this. The editors have listed all his published works including about 30 papers that came out of his laboratory but do not bear his name as co-author, and they have published about a third of the total number. Each paper is followed by a brief comment from an authority on the subject. The articles published are grouped in sections on (1) the history of electrocardiography, (2) the theory of electrocardiographic leads, (3) the origin of the electrocardiogram, (4) the T wave and the ventricular gradient, (5) the ventricular complex in myocardial infarction, (6) bundle branch block, (7) anomalous auriculoventricular excitation, and (8) cardiac arrhythmias. There is no index.
