This short volume is a summary of some of the work on body proteins that has been done for the past 30 years in Dr. Whipple's laboratory. The author gives the gist of the experiments performed, the results obtained, and his interpretations of these results. The experiments clearly establish a dynamic interrelationship between the protein in circulation, in the extracellular fluids, in the cells, and in the reserve stores. The book is easily read and can be readily understood. A brief bibliography is included.
