Here is a chronologic presentation of knowledge relating to the heart and the circulation from 5000 B.C. to 1925 A.D. A second portion of the book provides biographies of many great leaders in studies of the heart and the circulation, and a third portion of the book provides a chronologic presentation of data according to such subjects as anatomy, physiology and various specific diseases. Several of the chapters and some portions of others have previously appeared in contributions to periodicals. The presentation is excellent, and the work should be a must for the library of every doctor interested in medical history and particularly for those concerned with cardiology.
