New Executive Secretary.  —Paul Charles Schaefer, St. Louis, has been appointed executive secretary of the Arkansas Medical Society to replace Sid Wrightsman, recently appointed executive secretary of the Georgia Medical Association. Mr. Schaefer has had experience with the Arkansas Power Company, in administrative appointments with the Fourth Army Headquarters, in private business, and in sales managerial capacities.


Personals.  —Dr. Roy M. Seideman, Hartford, has been appointed to the Office of the Surgeon General, U. S. Air Force, and assigned to the preventive medicine division. He had recently been associated with the Bureau of Industrial Hygiene in the Connecticut State Health Department.—Dr. Eugene M. Blake retired as clinical professor and head of the department of ophthalmology at Yale University Medical School on June 30 after 44 years of service on the medical school staff. He will continue his private medical practice in New Haven.
