Dr. Edwin H. Lennette, chief, viral and rickettsial diseases laboratory, California State Department of Public Health, is on leave from June 1 to July 15; he will spend most of this time in Spain as a consultant on Q fever. The trip is being made at the request of the Spanish government and under the auspices of the World Health Organization.
The Los Angeles Obstetrical and Gynecological Society has elected Dr. Earle W. Cartwright, Pasadena, president, Dr. Stirling G. Pillsbury, Long Beach, vice-president, and Dr. Aaron N. Webb, secretary. Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of September, November, January, March, and May.—The Beverly Hills Medical Society, founded in 1936, will henceforth be known as the Beverly Hills Academy of Medicine.
