Conference for the Handicapped.—
An Arkansas Conference for the Handicapped has been scheduled for Oct. 9-10 at the Marion Hotel in Little Rock. Complete financial support for the conference is being furnished by the Nemours Foundation, Wilmington, Del., a charitable corporation for the furtherance of work with the handicapped child. The objectives of the conference are ( 1 ) to evaluate the presently available resources for meeting the needs of the handicapped in Arkansas, (2) to determine the present unmet needs for a program of adequate care for the handicapped, and (3) to set the course for a coordinated program for the handicapped in Arkansas.
Course on Gastroenterology.—
A course in Pathological Physiology of the Gastrointestinal Tract (limited to 30 students ) will be offered on Wednesdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m., Sept. 12-Nov. 21 at the University of California Medical Center, Los Angeles, under the auspices of University Extension. The course chairman is
