OTOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF CRASH INJURIES

JAMA. 1957;163(4):229-230. doi:10.1001/jama.1957.02970390005003
Abstract

• Impairments of hearing and disturbances of equilibrium can prevent normal performance of the automobile driver. Applicants for licensure who have an obvious hearing handicap or who give a history of vertigo should be examined by a physician in order to determine the extent of the disorder and to decide whether they are competent to drive.
