This manual was prepared by a professor of education at Columbia University and by an educational psychologist of the same university. Certain portions were contributed by members of the Advisory Council of the National Academy of Religion and Mental Health, representatives of the Mental Health Material Center and Mental Health Film Board, and the associate director of the National Committee on Alcoholism. This book is not primarily for the use of the physician. Its purpose is to help the parent, physician, clergyman, schoolteacher, social service worker, recreational director, psychiatrist, and any other professional worker engaged in mental health work to cooperate with the others in planning conferences on any aspect of this subject. It is a good compendium of source material and references for technical procedures in planning discussions on mental health.
