Rabies in Man.—
The May 3 issue of the weekly morbidity and mortality report of the U. S. Public Health Service states that the California State Department of Public Health has reported a case of rabies in a 41year-old man living in Orange County. The patient developed symptoms on April 7 and died four days later. The diagnosis was confirmed by microscopic examination of brain tissue and by mouse inoculation.
Establish Center for Mentally Ill.—
Delaware has set up a vocational rehabilitation program for the mentally ill. A training center, operated at the Delaware State Hospital by the rehabilitation division of the State Board for Vocational Education, is offering vocational training to patients before their discharge from the hospital, the Governor Bacon Health Center, the VA hospital, or the state welfare home. Those completing the training will be ready on discharge for jobs or for further training under
