THE DEPENDENTS' MEDICAL CARE PROGRAM (PUBLIC LAW 569—84TH CONGRESS)
AN INTERIM PROGRESS REPORT TO CONGRESS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE
1. Purpose and Scope.—
This report is rendered on the verbal request of the Armed Services Committee, House of Representatives, U. S. Congress. The report is also furnished to the Armed Services Committee, U. S. Senate. Its purpose is to inform the Committee of the progress of the Dependents' Medical Care Program which was brought into being by Public Law 569, 84th Congress. This report primarily covers Title II of the Law. This Law had an effective date six months after approval (7 December 1956). Except for those data herein which are stated to have been derived from sample studies, the operational data cover the period from the beginning of the Program to 1 July 1957 ( slightly more than six months ).
