Abstract

ARMY 

Colonel Bennett Retired.—  Col. Eaton W. Bennett, chief, department of neuropsychiatry, Brooke Army Hospital, who retired in July after 33 years of military service, has joined the staff of the state hospital in San Antonio, Texas, as a senior physician. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry. During World War II, Colonel Bennett served in the Far East with the 10th Army, as commanding officer of two general hospitals and as surgeon of the Philippine Base Command.

Personal.—  Dr. Stanhope Bayne-Jones, technical director of research for the Army Surgeon General's Office, Washington, D. C., received an honorary doctor of laws degree at Tulane University, New Orleans, May 28, when he delivered the graduation address, speaking on "The Liberal Sciences."
