STATEMENT REGARDING FHA-INSURED LOANS BEFORE A SENATE SUBCOMMITTEE BY R. B. ROBINS, M.D.  May 21, 1958

Mr. Chairman and Members of the Subcommittee:  I am Dr. R. B. Robins, a practicing physician of Camden, Arkansas. I am testifying today at the request of the chairman of the board of trustees of the American Medical Association, and I am pleased to give you the views of the American doctors on some of the problems of caring for our aged citizens. I am a past vice-president of the A. M. A. and past president of the American Academy of General Practice.My testimony today will be concerned with the medical problems that are peculiar to the aged, the facilities available to care for their ordinary housing needs as well as their medical needs, the cost of these services, and the role of the proprietary nursing home in helping to solve some of
