This book describes and differentiates between the pathological conditions in the cervical spine which may produce headache and pain or stiffness of the neck and shoulder. The structure and the lesions of the cervical spine, with particular reference to the posterior-lateral facets described first by Von Luschka, are graphically described and illustrated. The mechanism and significance of the whiplash injury are thoroughly discussed. There are 40 new illustrations, including colored drawings of the anatomy of the cervical spine. This valuable book should be useful to the general practitioner, orthopedist, and neurosurgeon.
