This small compendium can be easily carried in a physician's bag or in his pocket. It can be used as a quick source of information in pediatrics for the general practitioner. As the author rightfully states, the text is not intended to be all-inclusive nor to contain controversial subjects. For such a small volume it contains a tremendous amount of information. Laboratory procedures are described and this makes a unseful addition to the book.
