A. M. A. GRANTS-IN-AID FOR RESEARCH  The Committee on Research of the A. M. A announces that the subcommittee on Grants-in-Aid is prepared to make grants up to $500 in 1960 to supplement clinical and basic medical science research. Grants will be made for the purchase of supplies, animals, and equipment but are not intended for the payment of salaries of full-time or part-time secretarial or technical help, labor, or overhead. No more than two awards will be made to any one institution. The tentative closing date for the receipt of applications has been set for April 1, 1960. More complete information concerning the program and application blanks may be obtained by writing to the Secretary, Committee on Research, American Medical Association, 535 N. Dearborn St., Chicago 10.
