To the Editor:—
In The Journal, April 23, page 1985, appeared an abstract of a case report of a patient with pulseless disease. In the abstract there is a statement, just as there was in the original paper in the British Medical Journal, Dec. 26, 1959, page 1439, to the effect that the case under discussion is "the first one from India." This claim for priority was subsequently disputed. Letters telling of similar cases, previously reported from India, were published in the correspondence section of the British Medical Journal (Feb. 13, p. 502, and March 12, p. 804).
