Personal.—  Dr. Robert C. Parkin of Madison, Wis., was appointed chief of professional training services in medical education for the Veterans Administration, in Washington, D. C. He has been assistant dean in charge of postgraduate medical education at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine for the past 11 years. In his new post, he will help co-ordinate VA medical education programs which assist in training one of each three new physicians and one of each ten professional nurses being produced by the nation. Dr. Parkin succeeds Dr. Marjorie P. Wilson, who has been advanced to the newly created position of assistant director of the education service in the VA Department of Medicine and Surgery in Washington.— Dr. Sydney Selsenick, director of professional services at the Veterans Administration hospital at West Haven, Conn., since November, 1952, has been appointed manager of the VA hospital at Boston.
