Personal.—  Col. Leo J. Geppert, chief of the pediatric service, Brooke General Hospital, has been elected to membership in the American Pediatric Society. He is the second Army physician accorded the honor in the exclusive, 100-member society. —Col. Arthur P. Long who has been chief of the preventive medicine division in the Office of the Army Surgeon General since 1957, retired from the Army Medical Service on June 30 to become professor of environmental medicine and co-director, International Center for Medical Research Training, at the University of California Medical Center in San Francisco.
