Surgical Patient Subject Of Hahnemann Symposium
"Medical Considerations in the Surgical Patient" will be the subject of the eighth symposium sponsored by the Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital of Philadelphia at the Sheraton Hotel in Philadelphia Dec. 12-14. Emphasis will be on clinical applications of new knowledge relating to preoperative diagnosis and evaluation, and postoperative care of patients with specific problems.The symposium will be directed by Dr. Wilbur Oaks, associate in medicine at Hahnemann. Moderators for the three sessions will include Drs. John H. Moyer, chairman of the department of medicine at Hahnemann; H. William Harris, chairman of the department of medicine at Woman's Medical College; Simon Dack, associate professor of medicine at New York Medical College, and William F. Kellow, dean of Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital.
A series of seven seminars on metabolism will be presented by the Gastroenterology Department of Bergen Pines County Hospital
