Abstract

Fatal nonbacterial pneumonia occurred in a previously healthy young adult. Epidemiological, virological, and pathological studies suggest an etiological relationship between adenovirus type 4 isolation and this fatal pneumonia. This is the first such relationship in a previously healthy adult which has been reported to our knowledge.
