Abstract

During the decade which has passed since the first edition of Histological Appearances of Tumors was published, this superb book has become a classic in tumor pathology. Even so, the new version surpasses the first, and those who have waited expectantly for Dr. Winston Evans' second edition will not be disappointed. In this volume all major organs of the body are included, and no major tumors are omitted. Thus the only defect of the first edition has been removed, and the value of the book is enhanced correspondingly. The amazing amount of information packed into its pages reflects Dr. Evans' extensive experience as a surgical pathologist and his special interest in embryology.

The original 35 chapters have been revised and expanded, with the addition of up-to-date, well-chosen references. Twelve new chapters have been added. Five are devoted to the reproductive system, with separate chapters on tumors of the ovary, vagina
