To the Editor.—
My most recently delivered copy of JAMA (May 3, 1976) contains an editorial in which one of my letters was "paraphrased" (235: 2006). Someone—the paraphraser, the copy editor, the printer, the proofreader(?)—goofed. In describing my first attack of migraine, I wrote that the visual scotoma was most disturbing (emphasis added). The editorial states that the scotoma was not disturbing (emphasis added). If you are going to print or paraphrase letters I write, don't change facts!
