To the Editor.—
The interesting article by McGowen (237:673, 1977) in a recent issue is commendable for the frequent use of the term "Down syndrome" but is marred by the unfortunate use of the term "mongolism" in the legend of Fig 2. Surely, the sooner this unfortunate bit of terminology with racist connotation is obliterated entirely, the better.
