In the May 2 issue of The Journal (237:1938-1941, 1977), the ORIGINAL CONTRIBUTION "Septicemia in a Community Hospital 1970 Through 1973" contained an error in the last complete sentence on page 1939. That sentence should read as follows: "The average length of stay for all patients in the hospital was seven days." In addition, on page 1940, Table 4, the fourth footnote, which lists miscellaneous sites of origin of septicemia, should also include otitis media, 1; epiglottitis, 1; and sinusitis, 1.
