In the Aug 1 issue of The Journal (238:397-398, 1977), the LETTER "Annual Physical Examination and Detection of Breast Cancer" confused the greater-than and less-than signs in reporting statistical significance. On page 398, column 1, line 8, the lack of statistical significance should be indicated by P>.05. In line 28, the statistical significance should be indicated by P<.05.
