Although some authorities believe that the peak of the drug addiction epidemic has been passed, the publication of books and reports on the subject continues unabated. Many of these are emotional, polemical, or superficial, but the three here considered, which take up the problem from varied viewpoints, are outstanding for their impartiality and evidence of careful investigation. They all contribute worthwhile information but together show how little is really known about drug abuse.
