During the six years of its existence, the Hadassah University Hospital "day-care" unit has proved its value as an additional service of the Oncological Center. A total of 188 patients were treated by the service during a six-month observation period, with about 20 patient-visits each day. Sixty percent of the patients received chemotherapy. All reacted favorably to the service, which gave them the opportunity to extend their useful life.
