Abstract

Glutethimide poisoning occurred in 31 patients. They were treated by intensive supportive therapy; no patient was treated with hemodialysis. The overall mortality of 3% (one) in this series compares favorably with that of other series. It is concluded that hemodialysis is not essential in the management of severely poisoned patients.
