Spontaneous Retroperitoneal HematomaA Complication of Hemodialysis

JAMA. 1974;230(8):1164-1165. doi:10.1001/jama.1974.03240080046028
Abstract

Spontaneous retroperitoneal hematomas developed in two patients on long-term dialysis. In one, a femoral nerve palsy resulted. Recovery was slow, but complete. The second patient had the manifestations of obstructive jaundice. Diagnosis was made surgically, the hematoma was evacuated, and the obstruction was relieved.
