The fifth edition of Rook's Textbook of Dermatology has maintained the encyclopedic breadth and readability that warrant its reputation as the finest dermatology reference text available. The fifth edition has expanded to more than 3500 pages and 1767 illustrations filling four volumes. The 53 contributors enhance the readability of this work by adhering to a uniform template of etiology, pathology, clinical features, and treatment, including definition, incidence, prevalence, course and prognosis, differential diagnosis, and associated findings.

The text is designed to be used as a reference and benefits from its uniform style, which avoids the needless duplication and verbosity all too common in multiauthored reference works.
