To the Editor.—
In a recent letter to your journal, Riley and Brannon (242:2761, 1979) described a patient who died of a head injury after falling from a top bunk bed during a seizure. I recently became aware of a patient who drowned while taking a bath, as a result of having a seizure. In addition to cautioning seizure patients against swimming alone, I now advise them to take showers rather than baths.
